As project architects, Craftstudio Architecture were delighted to attend the commencement of works on the Blackwater Valley Digital and Enterprise Hub in Truagh, with contractor McKelvey Construction Ltd getting underway on site at Knockconan. Delivered in partnership with Monaghan County Council and Truagh Development Association CLG, and funded through the €3.3m Rural Regeneration and Development Fund, this new facility will bring remote working spaces, a café, craft shop, state-of-the-art catering kitchen, training facilities, and an art exhibition space to the heart of North Monaghan. It was wonderful to be on site to mark the occasion alongside the community, council representatives, and the wider project team. For Craftstudio, this project is a clear example of what community-focused, rural infrastructure design can achieve, and we look forward to seeing it open its doors in 2026.
