Lough Sheelin HOuse
Contemporary family home on the shores of Lough Sheelin, composed to maximise views toward the lake. Reducing the scale of the house to a collection of built elements, cranked to reflect the contours of the site, ensures the dwelling is sensitively sited in the Special Area of Conservation.
Materiality and fine craftmanship are key to this dwelling’s design concept. Heavy stone walls anchor the building in its rural setting, its dark silhouette ensure the building nestles amongst the trees along the shoreline.
