Strangford Lough House
Strangford Lough House is located on a sloping wooded site on the North County Down coastline. The design reorientates an existing bungalow towards spectacular coastal views. The functions of the bungalow and extension are split with bedrooms to the front and living spaces in the new building to the rear. Integrated into the hillside at a lower level, south light is drawn into a linear open-plan living space over the top of the existing bungalow from high-level windows. Perched on top, with access to a roof terrace, is a master bedroom suite with a glass wall framing panoramic views of the Irish Sea.
